initial consultation and evaluation.
Dr. Vanderlinde will then go over an appropriate course of therapy,
including a discussion of realistic results.
You will also be given instructions for preparation and skin care for both
before and after your treatment.
During a treatment, Dr. Vanderlinde will guide the Laser
handpiece over the treatment area while Laser light is

top layer of skin to reach the intended target, whether

ACNE
Acne is a condition caused by skin cells that do not shed properly and plug pores, causing oil and bacteria to be trapped inside. As the oil and bacteria accumulates, the skin becomes inflamed and swells outwards forming the familiar whiteheads, blackheads and pimples. The most common type of acne shows up on the face, neck, shoulders, back, and chest. Ask about reduced rates for students!
Here's what you can expect immediately following the treatment:
Mild to moderate redness and swelling that will fade in as little as a couple hours to as much as a few days.
Here's what you can expect your final outcome to be:
While outcomes vary from person to person a prospective clinical study indicates that over 90% of patients treated experience marked reduction in acne lesions.

ROSACEA / FACIAL VEINS
A disorder involving chronic inflammation of the cheeks, nose, chin, forehead, or eyelids; it may cause redness, vascularity (increased prominence of the blood vessels), swelling or hyperplasia (increase in size of the tissue), or skin eruptions similar to acne.
Here's what you can expect immediately following the treatment:
The area will blanch immediately following the laser application. Several seconds later it will be replaced with erythema which will fade within a few days.
Here's what you can expect your final outcome to be:
Full resolution. Usually requires several treatments to completely eliminate all vessels.

SHAVING BUMPS
Pseudo-folliculitis (razor bumps) is a common condition of a closely shaved area, which occurs in people with thick curly hair. Perifollicular erythema (reddening around hair shaft) immediately following laser application. On occasion this reaction is absent or minimal.

Here's what you can expect immediately following the treatment:
Full vaporization with light graying of tissue at treatment time. The area turns darker within a few hours and flakes off in about one week. If the pigment is diffuse or light brown, the end point is not as obvious, however, the lesion should turn darker and flake off as normal.
Here's what you can expect your final outcome to be:

FACIAL REJUVENATION
Option 1 (one laser only)
Option 2 (dual laser treatment)
Enhanced Skin Rejuvenation treats fine wrinkles and sun-damaged skin. Patients with photo-damage and photo-aging often benefit from the procedure. Specifically addresses: sun damage, wrinkles, photo-aging, lentigines and facial telangiectasia, vascular and pigment irregularities.
With this process solar lentigines and facial telangiectasia are treated individually with the Aura/Gemini laser. The entire face is "painted" with the Aura/Gemini. This is followed by a second pass with the Lyra/Gemini laser, for facial toning and the treatment of fine wrinkles.
Here's what you can expect immediately following the treatment:
Solar lentigines may darken following treatment. After painting technique a slight erythema might be present.
Here's what you can expect your final outcome to be:
With this procedure patients will typically benefit from 3-8 treatments. Clearing of sun damage such as lentigines will be evident after the first few treatments. Wrinkle improvement will be gradual over the first three months of treatment as new collagen forms, creating a smoother, younger looking skin.

DiamondTome Skin Resurfacing
 |
Skin
Resurfacing can reduce the effects of aging on our
skin. Years of sun exposure and the aging process take
their toll on the skin, creating lines, wrinkles, and
changes in texture and color. Not only is the face a
likely victim of these changes, but the neck, chest,
cleavage, arms and hands may be affected as well.
Skin Resurfacing is a
treatment that improves wrinkles, skin texture and
color by removing the topmost layer of skin leaving it
more supple and vibrant. Skin Resurfacing also
stimulates the elastic tissue beneath the surface of
the skin resulting in a healthier and firmer
appearance. Skin Resurfacing treatments are
normally administered by a trained clinician, nurse,
aesthetician, or physician. A wonderful
alternative or compliment to chemical
peels, the DiamondTome™ Skin
Resurfacing treatment is non-invasive, pain-free and
requires no down time after treatment.
Leading plastic
surgeons and dermatologist regard the DiamondTome™
system as being more gentle and affective than other
exfoliating systems, even at higher settings. The
length of the treatment and number of treatments vary
depending on skin type and condition. Results are
gradual but highly effective. Most people experience
softer, smoother skin after their first treatment.
